What do the mass graves tell us?
The entire territory of Poland is strewn with graves. They remind us of bloody battles and German crimes. They teach us sacrifice for our homeland and love for our compatriots. When we pass by such graves, we should bow our heads to honor the heroes who died for our homeland and were buried in a common grave. Many thousands of people perished in this way. We should take care of their graves because they died for us. It is thanks to them that we can learn in Polish schools today. This is why we remember about these graves and put flowers on them. If these graves could talk, they would warn us against ever letting the enemies enter our land, because otherwise they would again burn, destroy and murder the best of Poles.
