What do the mass graves tell us?
The mass graves tell us about the joint effort of our nation’s best sons. They gathered in the forests to fight for a free Poland for us. They knew that death awaited them, but they went willingly – nobody forced them to go. They went to fight for a free nation for us.
Their spirits have gone to God, but they have left behind a free Poland where we can live in peace. Many families are awaiting the return of their fathers, sons, brothers, but they lie somewhere in the forest and the grass has covered their graves. Oh, how many of those graves there are; how sad those graves are.
