On 15 April 1941 in my own apartment.

Nizhny Tagil.
4. Description of the camp:
Forest, barracks, 80 people in each barrack.
5. Social composition of POWs:
Mostly Ruthenians.
6. Life in the camp:
The work lasted 12 hours, it was felling trees in the forest. High quotas, no payment, we were not given clothes.
7. Attitude of the NKVD towards Poles:
Hostile. If you didn’t go to work, you were beaten. Meetings twice a week.
8. Medical assistance, hospitals, mortality:
There was a doctor and a hospital. Mortality – four to five people per month.
9. Was it possible to keep in touch with the home country and your family?
I had no contact.
10. When were you released and how did you join the army?
On 22 December 1941. I went by train from the camp to Kermine, where I joined the army.
