Markus Frühman, born on 17 March [illegible] in Krosno, Lwów Voivodeship, locksmith, bachelor.
In March 1941 I was transported from Stanisławów to the Rostów Voivodeship, sovkhoz no. 7.
There were a dozen or so houses, a mechanic workshop, and black coal mines nearby. The housing conditions were bad; over 20 people lived in one barrack.
There were Poles and Jews in the camp, escapees from the western territories. The mutual relations were good.
We worked from dawn to dusk.
Instead of a doctor, there was a feldsher.
I exchanged letters with my family, who had been deported to Novosibirsk.
I was released in September and, with an echelon formation, I reached Totskoye, where a Polish army was being formed.
