On 8 November 1947, with the participation of reporter R. Muszyńska, Judge W. Kuryłowicz of the Regional Court in Końskie interviewed the person named below as an unsworn witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the witness testified as follows:

In the autumn of 1944, I don’t remember in which month, the Germans arrived in the village of Bedlno to collect the quota contribution of milk; it was early morning. Seeing the Germans in the village when he was at his neighbor’s place, Antoni Pawlik started to escape to his house. When they saw him escaping, the Germans started to shoot at him and at his brother Józef. They merely wounded Józef Pawlik but they shot Antoni Pawlik dead on the spot. Antoni Pawlik was buried the following day in the parish cemetery in Bedlno.
