Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations, the witness testified:
From the persons mentioned in the list, I recognize Paul Götze (no. 27). He was a Blockführer [block leader].
Once a block elder caught me smoking a cigarette and beat me up. At night, Götze came, dragged me out of my bunk, beat and kicked me unconscious, and when the block elder brought me round with water – he ordered me to fall into the mud and get up, and then I had to hold a squatting position with bricks in my hands until losing strength and falling over.
At night he came to the block with a rod in his hand, looking out for victims whom he later killed with a blow to the head from his rod. Among others, he killed Adam Siwreczek from Nowy Sącz. When the prisoner didn’t die from Götze’s blow to the head, in the night he ordered him to be taken outside the block, undress and there he crushed his skull.
He wrote down sick people, ordered them to be taken to block 7, from where cars transported them to the crematoria.
The report was read out and signed.
