MOJŻESZ BOJM

On 26 January 1948 in Radom, assistant public prosecutor from the X Region of the Prosecutor’s Office of the District Court in Radom in the person of Karol Satoza, with the participation of a reporter, Candidate Judge K. Żebrowski, and pursuant to Article 20 of the provisions introducing the Code of Criminal Procedure, heard the person named below as a witness, who testified as follows:

Name and surname Mojżesz Bojm

Place of residence Traugutta Street 45, Radom

I heard from the inmates of the penal camp in Bliżyn who were working in the office of the camp commandant, among others from the now dead Kobler, that SS-Unterführer Nell called Polizeiführer Böttcher for guidelines on what to do with the Jews from Pionki who had been brought to the camp. On the same day, having received instructions from Radom, he ordered that these 17 Jews be executed. Nell didn’t want to admit them to the camp because they were unfit for work, emaciated and undernourished.

I inferred from the camp practice that all executions in the camp were carried out only on specific orders from Polizeiführer. During my stay in Bliżyn, I encountered Böttcher two or three times when he was inspecting machines and workshops. I talked to him then. As I know, he often came to Bliżyn to inspect the camp. Dr Ludwik Fastman, residing at Konopnickiej Street 6 in Wałbrzych, could provide more details pertaining to the suspect, i.e. Böttcher.

I have testified all I know.
