On 11 May 1946, the Municipal Court in Opatów, represented by Judge Al. Zalewski, with the participation of reporter R. Cybulski, interviewed the person mentioned below as a witness. Having advised the witness of the criminal liability for making false declarations, of the wording of Article 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, and of the significance of the oath, the judge swore the witness in accordance with Article 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, whereupon the witness testified as follows:

During the German occupation, in March 1942, I slaughtered a pig and a cow to get a higher price from selling meat, as a farmer. On the very next day, two former Blue Police officers came to me: Witold Ślęzak and another officer whose name I don’t know. Ślęzak asked me where I had the meat from the slaughtered pig and cow and when I told him there wasn’t any, he conducted a detailed search of the entire building and premises, and as a result, found all of the meat from the slaughter in the granary.
Ślęzak initially wanted to take everything and for that purpose he prepared a proper report. In response to my begging, he finally agreed not to file the report, in exchange for 600 zlotys in cash, 6 kg of sausage, and 5 kg of słonina [pork fat], which I delivered to him personally the next day. Moreover, I had to organize a party in a restaurant for him, which cost me another 500 or 600 zlotys, since that’s what he harshly demanded. My brother Leon and my wife Sabina were witnesses to the aforementioned search.
