As regards the present case, I am aware of the following facts: On 22 August 1944 at 3.00

p.m. four “Ukrainians” came to the village of Wincentów. They were serving in the German army. The partisans who were hiding in Wincentów disarmed them; one of “Ukrainians” ran away, while they took the other three to the forest, however I do not know what happened with them thereafter.

Before nightfall, the Germans who were stationed in Piekoszów surrounded the village of Wincentów and took with them many of the people who had stayed in their houses, myself included. From amongst us they selected Jan Majchrzyk, son of Jan, Stanisław Majchrzyk, son of Ludwik, and Franciszek Daszkiewicz, son of Stanisław, whom they executed in the village of Wincentów; they let the rest of those gathered go. Also on this day the very same Germans who were conducting the sweep operation burned down the house, barn and cowshed of Piotr Hojnecki, the house of Walenty Kowalski, the barn and cowshed of Józef Brożek, and the barn and cowshed of Stanisław Gajos. I was an eyewitness to the execution and to the torching of the abovementioned buildings.

At this point the report was brought to a close and read out before being signed by the witness.
