MARIANNA BIELICA

Kielce, 9 November 1948. Jan Zielono from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Zygmunt Winter, heard the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

Name and surname Bielica Marianna, née Kmiecik
Parents’ names Józef and Anna, née Jaworska
Date and place of birth 4 October 1904, Kielce
Religious affiliation Roman Catholic
Occupation shop clerk
Place of residence Kielce, Bodzentyńska Street 63
Relationship to the parties husband
On 12 August 1944, when as a resistance soldier carrying some orders, my husband was

assaulted by the Gestapo in Wesoła Street. My husband did not let them take him; he shot at Gestapo man Sztrem and wounded him in the collarbone. Then the Gestapo men took the wounded Bielica and I never heard from him again. Only after the Red Army had arrived, he was uncovered in the forest in the Stadium, and then I recognized the body of my husband.

I would like to add that throughout the occupation, my husband worked for Poland, and in the resistance movement he was the head of propaganda for the Sandomierz and then the Kielce region.

I have nothing more to add.

The report was read out.
